While attending Westminster College for his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Derek Crawford started a program to teach grade school and high school students chemistry & science, focusing on how chemistry is used in industry and in our homes. While earning his Masters Degree in Polymer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Derek expanded the program to include college students as well, teaching them about careers in science. Derek has worked for many years in the coatings, adhesives and sealants industries as a Senior Scientist. His work has generated multiple patents and professional trade papers. Derek continues to work with students of all ages, teaching them about the field of science and how it impacts their lives.
